Hvaler - the islands right outside Fredrikstad. A Paradise on Earth. one hour to go from Oslo. If you're short of time and want to feel something really Norwegian when you have a couple of days in Oslo, this is where you go! Fredrikstad has got the old fort with the old buildings, Hvaler has got the sea and the feeling of complete freedom. By the way - Fredrikstad is the most charming city in Norway!
