On today's travel vlog I made my way to Norway. Norway is my 100th country, but I don't want to make a big deal of it. Because, I think that the number of countries you go to doesn't matter. It's the number of expereinces you have that is really important.
This travel vlog starts in London where I'd been spending a couple days on vacation from the vlog. I've been hanging out with my girl, getting brunch, and doing a little bit of computer work too.
But, it's time to get back onto the road. So, I'm headed to Norway via a Ryanair flight from London Stansted.
Upon arrival in Norway, I popped into a rental car and hit the road. I'm not exactly sure where I'm planning on staying tonight, I'm just kind of cruising and hoping to find a cool location or two.
In the end, I kind of missed the light and didn't photograph anything on my first night in Norway. But, I did manage to fly my drone and make some first impressions. I think I'm going to like Norway. Moreover, I think the Norway travel vlogs are going to be a lot of fun. This looks like a beautiful country with lots to see. So, I can't wait to explore more.
On visiting 100 countries, well, it's cool. But, I think it's really important not to get too caught up in the numbers and focus instead on growth and having experiences.
So, Norway is my 100th country, and that doesn't matter. What does matter is that Norway looks like it's going to be full of amazing experiences.
Stay tuned to tomorrow's travel vlog here in Norway as I head to Trolltunga.]]>

Midnight Hike to Trolltunga I EPIC Norway Travel Vlog http://visiteurope.no/tvn/midnight-hike-to-trolltunga-i-epic-norway-travel-vlog_22fdd652f.html

An epic midnight hike to Trolltunga (Troll's Tongue) here in Norway on today's travel vlog.

Ok, so Norway is just blowing my mind. In fact, it's a bit of a problem. I'm constantly late getting to the spots I want to be photographing and exploring because it's so beautiful. Luckily, I think it's making for some fairly epic Norway travel vlog content.
On today's vlog, I headed west here towards a place called Trolltunga. Also known as The Troll's Tongue, Trolltunga is maybe one of the most epic locations in all of Iceland.
The only problem is, it's so beautiful here that I keep getting distracted. I was hoping to start my hike up Trolltunga at about 4pm. However, due to a dozen photo stops and an unexpected 2 hour delay to handle a bit of business stuff, I didn't eventually make it to the trailhead until after 8pm.
Luckily, it never really gets dark here in Norway this time of year, so if I had too I could hike all night.
So, my midnight hike up to Trolltunga started late, but it was just beautiful. The word of the day is ridiculous because everywhere I look here is just so beautiful it doesn't even make sense. Honestly, it's quickly becoming one of my favourite countries to travel, and might be the most beautiful country in the world.
The trek up is 11km, and the first 4km are mostly up hill. The vertical gain is 700m, but it feels like much more because it's basically straight up.
I was a bit slow on the go, so I couldn't make it to The Troll's Tongue until after sunset, so instead I found a cool spot to shoot sunset above a fjord that had a couple waterfalls dropping down it. I swear, if the rest of Norway is even close to this beautiful my camera is going to be busy.
After shooting sunset, and flying my drone, I pushed along to Trolltunga where I arrived just after midnight.
Eventually, I found a place to set up my tent, and I'm going to get a couple hours of sleep before starting tomorrow's Norway travel vlog with a bit of photography at the Troll's Tongue. I can't wait. It looks like such an epic location.
So, stay tuned to tomorrow's Norway vlog as there are going to be some epic photo ops.

World's Scariest Selfie? Trolltunga Norway Travel Vlog http://visiteurope.no/tvn/worlds-scariest-selfie-trolltunga-norway-travel-vlog_aa5984107.html

Is Trolltunga the world's scariest selfie?

I woke up before sunrise today (which was 4am and only a couple hours after I finally went to bed) to photograph Trolltunga, which is known in English as The Troll's Tongue.
This spot in Norway has become famous because it might be the scariest selfie in the world. Or, maybe just the most epic. The Troll's Tongue hangs over a fjord some 900m and it is absolutely epic. Not only is the location insane, but it is one of the most beautiful places in Norway as well.
I wanted to get a couple shots for some clients that I thought would be cool from on top of Trolltunga, so I braced my nerves and headed out onto the ledge for my shots. The more times I stood out there shooting my selfie, the easier it got. But, I'd be lying if I said that the first couple shots weren't beyond terrifying.
But as scary as it might have been, it was also the world's most epic selfie spot.
After getting my images with Trolltunga all to myself, I headed back into my tent. And, luckily I did. Just as I did we got hammered with rain.
I hid out in my tent until about noon. Then, when I realized that the rains weren't going to stop, I started the Trolltunga hike back to the parking lot. It was such an epic 24 hours up in this part of Norway, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't happy to see my car again. My legs were crushed from the hike to Trolltunga and I was in desperate need for a shower and a good meal.
So, I continued with the Norway vlog by pushing on to the city of Bergen where I'd eventually give myself a bit of a break at a decent hotel room.
Tomorrow, the Norway travel vlog is back as I head out searching out some of Southern Norway's coolest waterfalls.]]>

Travel Packing Hacks & Tips:
Traveling can be fun, but it can be a pain if your luggage gets lost. Here are five things that you should never pack in your checked luggage. Always put these in your carryon.
1. Electronics - phones, laptops, cameras, lithium batteries.
2. Prescription Medicines - also keep in their original containers
3. Travel Documents - passports, tickets, hotel reservations
4. Car Keys & House Keys - you will need to get to your car and get into your house when you get home, so make sure you keep track of them.
5. Valuables - Jewelry, money, etc. Always keep that with you.

23 Most Dangerous Pictures Ever! http://visiteurope.no/tvn/23-most-dangerous-pictures-ever_72266f9e2.html

Craziest photos ever! These are some of the most epic extreme photos of daredevils involving sharks, skyscrapers, planes, and more.

Today we look at 23 of the most dangerous photos ever! Your palms will sweat and your butt will clench.

Mountain biker Hans Rey popping a wheelie along the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. There is 600 ft (183 M) drop to his left.

This is what Saudi Arabians like to do for fun. It’s called skiing or sidewalk skiing and it involves driving a car on two wheels. To ski, a ramp can be used to start or for vehicles with higher centers of gravities, like SUV’s, it can be done without a ramp

A bear chases a ranger in the Ukraine after unsuccessfully attempting to tranquilize the bear with a gun. Reportedly the bear said: “what is this 80 proof tranquilizer?” “in soviet russia, my friend, one shot vill not do”

Windshield
Near Sydney Australia the timber load from a truck became loose and impaled this ladies car. Luckily she had no serious injuries as a result of this. Looking at the picture I’m not sure how

Austrian Skydive legend Paul Steiner grabbing the vertical stabilizer of a glider plane after having switched planes mid-air

This guy doing his best Jesus impression as he gets chased by a bull into water

Victoria Falls in Zambia, Africa is considered to the be the largest waterfall in the world. From August to January, when the level of water is low enough, there is an area of the falls called Devil’s pool where you can get in right up to the edge of the waterfall just before the 354ft (108 m) drop. This guide apparently feels comfortable enough to stand right at the edge.

This is Rick Rojatt known as the Human Fly. He was the inspiration for the Human Fly Marvel comic book character. Here he’s strapped to a post attached to a DC-8 plane traveling 250 mph (402 kmph). He encountered some rain and the Human Fly said afterward that the rain drops felt like bullets.

A Sky Dancer aerialist skips rope in Chicago in 1955.

Ruan Liangming has the world record for spending the most time covered by bees. He spent 53 minutes and 34 seconds covered by approximately 100,000 bees with no protection for his face and apparently was not stung. The bees are drawn to him because they attach the queen bee somewhere on his body. He stays perfectly still until it’s time to remove them at which point he shakes them off.
Calling him beeyaaotch is not actually an insult

This is Troy Hartman parachuting with a burning parachute. He jumped out of the plane and shot the parachute himself with a flare gun setting it on a fire, because, why not?. In case you’re wondering he did have another parachute and he lived.

This is Tom Ryaboi playing spiderman on a ledge on the side of building in Hong Kong

Vitalaiy Raskalov leaning back on the top of Stalin's skyscraper in Moscow

At the Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Thailand, Theerapone Manolai puts his head in a crocodile’s mouth. I’m thinking any accidents are covered by zoo’s slogan: That’s not blood, it’s Sriracha

This is climber Stefan Glowacz free solo climbing at Mount Arapiles, Australia. Free solo climbing means he doesn’t use any ropes or safety devices. just chalk.. and balls. chalk and balls.

In 1999 Robbie Knievel jumped a portion of the Grand Canyon. This was a jump his father Evil Knievel had always wanted to do but could not get government clearance. Although Robbie successfully made it across the canyon, he did break his leg in a crash landing.

The Dorobo people of Kenya Africa can be seen here approaching a pack of 15 lions eating a wildebeest. The three men approach the lions confidently with only bows and arrows and are able to intimidate the lions into running away so they can take part of their kill.

This is Ocean Ramsey free diving with a great white shark. Ocean can hold her breath for over 5 minutes. The fact that she is holding her breath and therefore doesn’t have bubbles coming out of her is believed to aid her in getting so close to the sharks without spooking them. And apparently she doesn’t need a weight belt because the weight of her huge ovaries.

Urban climber Mustang wanted holding his friend off a bridge 380ft (116m) up in the Ukraine.

This is Dean Potter at Taft Point in Yosemite Valley. He’s doing what is called highlining which is a form of slacklining. Slacklining is similar to tightrope walking except the line doesn’t have as much tension . What makes this extraordinarily dangerous is that he’s doing it over 3000 ft high with no safety harness.

Extreme performance artist Eskil Ronningsbakken doing a handstand on the edge of Trolltunga rock in Norway. Interestingly the word Trolltunga means Troll’s Tongue. Here’s the bigger picture

Kirill Oreshkin doing a one-handed grab from the ledge of a building in Moscow, holding his life with only his fingertips.

Philippe Petit is shown here tightrope walking between the former Twin towers in New York.]]>
